Veteran Care

Research and Education

The Paralyzed Veterans of America Florida Chapter is deeply committed to advancing research and education in spinal cord injury and dysfunction (SCI/D). We offer various programs aimed at improving treatment and care, including support for cutting-edge spinal cord injury treatment research. In collaboration with esteemed institutions like Yale School of Medicine and the West Haven VA Medical Center, we actively contribute to groundbreaking studies focused on finding cures for paralysis and enhancing quality of life for SCI/D patients.

In addition to research, we also prioritize education, offering scholarships for nurses and allied healthcare professionals to further their knowledge in SCI/D care. Our programs enable Licensed Practical Nurses and Nursing Assistants to attend seminars and courses, helping them stay up to date with the latest advancements in SCI/D treatment. Through these educational initiatives, we aim to cultivate a knowledgeable workforce capable of providing the best care possible for veterans with spinal cord injuries.
